About Bitonic

In April 2012 Bitonic was the first in the Netherlands to start offering (automated) bitcoins via iDEAL. We do so via our website and our app. Besides, customers have the possibility to store their bitcoin at Bitonic (custodial) instead of in their own wallet and to automatically buy bitcoin with Auto Invest.

Bitonic's mission statement is: Bitcoin for everyone. As such, our team is passionate about providing an accessible and convenient service for buying and selling bitcoins.

Bitonic's organizational structure is based on the principles of Holacracy consisting of self-managing circles. This system makes a flat organizational structure which values each opinion equally. Online Marketeer at Bitonic

As an Online Marketeer, you are responsible for the way Bitonic presents itself online. You ensure that our communication aligns with our products, our customers and our mission. At the same time, you have the freedom to further shape marketing within Bitonic.

You work closely with our product teams to understand what they are building, which developments are coming up and how we can best communicate these to our customers. You actively think about improving the customer journey, growing our community and making our communication better aligned with our customers’ needs.

Your responsibilities include:

• Managing and further developing our social media channels

• Writing blogs, news articles and other content

• Creating copy for the app and website.

• Increasing engagement within our online community

• Analyzing and improving the customer journey

• Identifying opportunities in online marketing and communication

• Advising the management team and product teams on marketing, communication and positioning

This role comes with a lot of freedom and responsibility. There is no fully developed marketing plan waiting for you. We are looking for someone who independently identifies opportunities, brings new ideas to the table, researches possibilities and turns ideas into action. You feel comfortable in an environment where you have a high level of ownership and enjoy further developing marketing within Bitonic.

About you

• You are creative and have a strong sense of what makes good copy

• You write clear and compelling content in both Dutch and English

• You work independently, take initiative and take ownership of your work

• You enjoy sharing ideas and are comfortable giving both solicited and unsolicited advice

• You enjoy collaborating with colleagues from different disciplines

• You are curious and like experimenting with and improving new ideas

What do we expect from you?

• You have at least 3 years of experience in online marketing

• You have experience with social media management, content marketing, and online engagement

• You have experience writing online content, such as blogs and news articles

• You have experience with or an interest in optimizing the customer journey

• You have excellent command of both Dutch and English

• We are a bitcoin company, so therefore affinity with bitcoin is a plus

• You live in the Netherlands and are able to come to our office in Amsterdam regularly

• You are available for 24 to 32 hours per week

Our perks

• The salary depends on your working experience and expertise. This position will be scaled in scale 7 of our salary structure between € 3.625,00 - € 5.725,00 gross per month

• A thirteenth month and 8% vacation allowance

• 32 vacation days on a full-time basis, including public holidays: you can choose whether you work on public holidays or not

• Travel allowance of € 0,25 per km or NS business card
