App developer (Flutter)
Bitonic is looking for an enthusiastic app developer, who will focus on the development and enhancement of our app. We are looking for a colleague who enjoys working in a scale-up environment with a lot of freedom and independence.
In April 2012 Bitonic was the first in the Netherlands to start offering (automated) Bitcoins via iDEAL. After that we expanded our services with our Bitcoin exchange BL3P, a Bitcoin savings service (Bits), an informative platform: bitcoin.nl and the Bitonic Academy. Recently, we introduced our app and offer the possibility to store bitcoin with us (custodial) instead of in a private wallet.
Bitonic's mission statement is: Bitcoin for everyone. As such, our team is passionate about providing an accessible and convenient service for buying and selling Bitcoins.
Bitonic's organizational structure is based on the principles of Holacracy consisting of self-managing circles. This system makes a flat organizational structure which values each opinion equally. The work-culture within Bitonic offers a lot of freedom to fulfill your role in the way you think is best and gives the possibility to bring your ideas to the table and work those out.
In March Bitonic has launched a new app, that allows customers to buy, sell and store (custodial) their bitcoin. The app is an important tool and is therefore continuously developed, maintained and improved. At the moment, the app works well, but there are always things that can be improved or further developed.
As an app developer you will work together often with front-end developers and UI/UX, besides the app team.
The app is available on both Android and iOS, and we are therefore looking for a developer who can further develop the app by programming cross-platform with Flutter (Dart).
For this role, we are looking for an experienced app developer who enjoys leading and overseeing the project.
You have multiple years of experience with building safe apps using Flutter (Dart)
You have experience with leading and coordinating projects
You have a good eye for UI/UX
We work in an advanced production environment where we use Docker, Ansible, and Git(lab). Some experience and affinity with these platforms are a plus. We aim to use open-source software whenever possible
You can write clear, structured code that requires little to no explanation
You can work independently and take initiative
You are flexible, curious, and able to thrive in an environment where you have a lot of freedom
You can switch easily between English and Dutch
You are living in the Netherlands (required!)
Partly working from home is certainly an option, but we expect you to work in the office regularly
The salary depends on your work experience and expertise. Our app developer salary scale ranges from €3.300 to €4.900 per month based on full-time employment.
